As the move gets closer, it's essential to compile a Travel Records Kit of all the documents you might need in establishing your new home overseas. Of course, the larger your family, the more complex your kit will be. I recommend that if your family includes multiple children, investing in a zipper binder in which you can divide the documents in various sections (one section per family member). This approach would also be good for smaller families, but can sometimes seem like unnecessary legwork for those with just 2 people (like my husband and myself).
I put together a quick checklist that is available for printing, just place the name of the family member at the top and check off that you have all their items.

Also, just a brief mention that I updated the Germany Checklist post to include a printable checklist that is more thorough than the to-do's listed in the post.

I also updated the post on PCSing with a pet overseas, there are added links to help with research for pet travel and added information on airline kennel requirements.
